Man of no fixed address charged in Vaughan stabbing

The victim suffered life-threatening injuries, but is expected to survive the early Monday morning attack, police say

Investigators with the York Regional Police #4 District Criminal Investigations Bureau have laid charges in connection with a stabbing that occurred in the City of Vaughan.

On Monday, March 22, 2021 shortly after 5 a.m., officers responded to an injured person call at a hospital in Vaughan. Officers arrived on scene and located a male victim suffering from a life-threatening stab wound injury. His condition improved in hospital and he is expected to survive.

Officers attended a residence on Santa Barbara Place, where it was determined the incident occurred. A suspect was located and was arrested.

Charged:
    •    Jesse Gorrill, 31, of no fixed address

Charges:
    •    Attempt murder
