Man killed in two-vehicle collision in Georgina

The other driver sustained non-life threatening injuries in the collision at Woodbine and Baseline Wednesday

A 39-year-old man is dead following a collision in Georgina on Oct. 12. 

York Regional Police said it responded to a two-vehicle collision at about 11:45 a.m. in the area of Woodbine Avenue and Baseline Road. 

A blue Volkswagen Golf and a red Pontiac G6 collided. The driver of the Volkswagen, a 39-year-old man from Georgina, was pronounced dead on the scene. The other driver, a 59-year-old female, was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. 

Police are now appealing for any witnesses they have not yet spoken with to come forward. Investigators are also seeking dashcam footage or residential security footage from the area.
