A man is facing human trafficking charges as part of an investigation in Markham, and police are urging any additional victims to come forward.

A woman contacted police in September after escaping a trafficker at a home on Pond Drive. The suspect has been identified as Sherifdeen Tokumboh Fashola, and police have located a second victim.

On Nov. 20, Fashola was convicted of deriving material benefit from sexual services and was sentenced to 120 days in jail and two years’ probation.

He is set to return to court Jan. 3 to face more charges, including human trafficking, receiving material benefit, deriving material benefit, procuring, exercising control, direction or influence, advertising sexual services, sexual assault, and obstructing justice.

Police have released a photo of Fashola in an attempt to have additional victims come forward.

Fashola uses the aliases Adam and Leo, and police believe he has additional locations near Ottawa.
