Man charged in connection with 20 break-ins in Richmond Hill

The incidents occurred between November 2021 and June 2022 at office buildings

Investigators with the York Regional Police #2 District Criminal Investigations Bureau have charged a 39-year-old man in connection with 20 break and enters that occurred in Richmond Hill.

From November 2021 to June 2022, police had responded to a number of commercial break and enters in office buildings where supplies had been targeted. Investigators believed the incidents were linked to the same suspect.

Through investigation, officers were able to identify the suspect and on June 18, 2022, he was arrested and charged.

The investigation is still ongoing.

Charged: 

  • Habib Zahrabi Shotorban, 39, No Fixed Address

Charges Include: 

  • Break and Enter x20 
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 
  • Possession of Crystal Meth
