York Regional Police have charged a suspect after an incident in a church washroom in Richmond Hill.
On Sunday, police received a call to a church on Bayview Avenue just south of 19th Avenue for a voyeurism incident.
Officers learned that on Aug. 11, a male suspect was in the women’s washroom at the church and took a photo of a five-year-old child while she was using the washroom, police said in a news release.
After an investigation, officers identified and arrested a suspect.
Shahin Babaeibaghbaderani, 39, of Richmond Hill is charged with voyeurism.
Police are urging anyone with information or any additional victims to come forward.

None of the allegations have been tested in court and the accused is considered innocent unless proven guilty.
