Holland Landing man arrested in ketamine trafficking investigation

The estimated street value of the suspected ketamine imported from the Netherlands is $243,000, Ontario Provincial Police say

A Holland Landing man has been arrested in connection with an investigation into the importation of ketamine into Canada from the Netherlands. 

The investigation was initiated this month after the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) seized about six kilograms of suspected ketamine destined for an address in Hepworth, according to a Ontario Provincial Police Grey Bruce news release.

The estimated street value of the suspected ketamine seized is $243,000.

Chen Liu, 41, has been charged with: two counts of importing a controlled substance included in Schedule 1 (ketamine) contrary to Section 6(1) CDSA and possession of a Schedule I substance - ketamine for the purpose of trafficking contrary to Section 5(2) CDSA, police said.

The accused was held for a bail hearing.
