Ground search continues for missing Vaughan man

York Regional Police continues to seek the public's assistance in locating Simi Abrams, a 24-year-old man last seen in a plaza in Maple on Thursday, March 21 at 2:30 p.m.

York Regional Police is seeking public assistance to locate a 24-year-old man missing from the City of Vaughan. Simi Abrams was last seen on Thursday, March 21, 2019, at 12:30 p.m., when he left on foot from Mackenzie Health Hospital, located at 10 Trench St. in the Town of Richmond Hill. He has not been in touch with family since.

Investigators obtained surveillance video that shows Mr. Abrams entering and leaving a store located at 1900 Major Mackenzie Dr. West on Thursday, March 21, 2019, shortly after 2:30 p.m. A ground search continues and a command post has been set up at 200 McNaughton Road in the City of Vaughan. Police and his family are growing increasingly concerned for his well-being.
