Five people are dead after a two-vehicle crash in the Huntsville area late Saturday.

Ontario Provincial Police say the collision between a westbound Mercedes SUV and an eastbound Ford SUV happened on Highway 60 at around 11:10 p.m.

Four teens ranging in age from 15 and 17 from the North York and Richmond Hill area were in the Mercedes. All of them were pronounced dead at the scene.

A 42-year-old Huntsville woman was driving the Ford. She was rushed to Huntsville Memorial Hospital where she died of her injuries.

The highway was shut down overnight between Hidden Valley Rd. and Canal Rd. but it reopened this morning.
