Driver transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries after Mount Albert collision

Investigators with the York Regional Police Major Collision Investigation Unit are seeking witnesses following a serious, single-vehicle collision in the Town of Mount Albert.

On Friday, May 28, 2021, at approximately 5:10 p.m., York Regional Police responded to a single-vehicle collision on York Durham Line, near Queensville Sideroad. When officers arrived, they found a silver 2006 Chevrolet pickup truck, with two occupants, had gone off the roadway.

The driver, a 20-year-old man from Uxbridge, was ejected from the vehicle. He was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries. A 28-year-old male passenger from Mount Albert was taken to hospital with minor injuries and released.

The investigation is ongoing and any witnesses who have not yet spoken with police, or anyone who may have dashcam footage from the area, are being asked to please come forward.
