Investigators with the York Regional Police Major Collision Investigation Unit are seeking witnesses following a fatal collision in the City of Richmond Hill.
On Monday, March 22, 2021, just after 7 a.m., York Regional Police responded to the intersection of Highway 7 and Yonge Street for a report of a three-vehicle collision involving a white Hino transport truck, a Mazda 6 and a Nissan four-door sedan.
The driver of the Nissan was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries. Sadly, she was pronounced deceased in hospital.
The driver of the Mazda was also transported to hospital and remains in critical condition.
The investigation is ongoing and any witnesses who have not yet spoken with police, or anyone who may have dashcam footage from the area, are being asked to please come forward.
