Do you know this man suspected of stealing a trumpet?

Items valued at more than $5,000 were stolen from a Richmond Hill music store Jan. 28, York Regional Police say

Investigators with the York Regional Police #2 District Criminal Investigations Bureau are seeking public assistance to identify a suspect following the theft of a trumpet from a music store in Richmond Hill.

On Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2020, York Regional Police responded to a music store located in the area of Leslie Street and Elgin Mills Road East for a report of a theft. Investigators learned that on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2020, an unknown man entered the store and stole a C trumpet and an effects pedal. The items stolen are valued at more than $5,000.

Investigators are releasing images obtained by video surveillance and seeking any information that may help to identify him.

Suspect description:

  • Male, white
  • 45 to 55 years
  • Grey hair
  • Wearing a grey coat, grey cap and carrying a black backpack
