Crime Stoppers releases video of suspect wanted in Aurora hate crime

York Regional Police continues to investigate a hate crime in Aurora, according to Crime Stoppers of York Region's crime of the week report. 

A suspect used black spray paint to vandalize vehicles, park signs, and buildings with racial and hate-motivated images and words, shortly after midnight on Aug. 16 at Fleury Park.

Video surveillance captured a male walking near Fleury Park along Machell Avenue between Wellington Street and Aurora Height Drive. The suspect is described as a male with long dark hair who was wearing a bucket hat and dark clothing and carrying a backpack at the time.

Crime Stoppers has released an image of the suspect and video and are asking anyone with information about the suspect or with any knowledge of the crime, but wish to remain anonymous to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, or leave an anonymous tip online at www.1800222tips.com.
