A portion of Bathurst Street is closed in both directions from Bloomington Road to McClellan Way in Aurora after a vehicle collided with a hydro pole Thursday afternoon.

The driver was extricated from the vehicle and transported to hospital with non life-threatening injuries, police report.

York Region Police are advising motorists to expect traffic delays following the collision at about 1:30 p.m. April 14.

The road is closed for repairs of the pole and lines that are hanging low, police said.

It is unknown when the road will reopen, and drivers should find an alternate route.
