Child among 3 people seriously injured in Bradford crash

Passenger in SUV, a 10-year-old boy, was transported to a Toronto hospital in critical but stable condition following Nov. 30 collision

A collision Thursday in Bradford West Gwillimbury sent two adults and a child to hospital with serious injuries.

At about 6 p.m., South Simcoe police responded to a two-vehicle crash involving a pickup truck and an SUV in the area of the 5th Sideroad and 4th Line.

The driver of the truck, a 43-year-old Bracebridge man, was taken to hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries. He was charged with careless driving.

The 38-year-old driver of the SUV and his 10-year-old male passenger, both from Bradford, were taken to a local hospital. The man had serious, non-life-threatening injuries. The child was then taken to a Toronto hospital in critical but stable condition. The driver of the SUV was charged with failing to properly wear a seatbelt and driving while a child passenger was not properly secured.
