Body found in Vaughan identified as Richmond Hill man who died of gunshot injuries

Investigators with the York Regional Police Homicide Unit are seeking witnesses following a homicide in the City of Vaughan.

On Feb. 25, 2021 at approximately 8 a.m., officers received a call regarding a body located at the end of a dead end street on Teston Road at Rodinea Road just east of Keele Street. When officers arrived, they located an adult male who was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A post-mortem examination has been conducted and the cause of death was determined to be as a result of gunshot injuries. The deceased has been identified as Gus Kouboules, 57, of Richmond Hill.

Investigators are appealing to anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area who have not yet spoken to police to please come forward. They are also appealing to anyone in the area with residential video surveillance that may have captured anything suspicious to please come forward.
