Aurora gas station robber flees with cash, cigars

Investigators with the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit are seeking assistance in identifying a suspect following a robbery at a gas station in the Town of Aurora.   

On Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2019, at approximately 2:15 a.m., officers responded to a gas station located in the area of Yonge Street and Cousins Drive in Aurora, for a report of a robbery.

Officers learned that a male suspect walked into the store armed with a knife and demanded money and cigars. The employee complied and the suspect fled the store with a quantity of cigars and cash.

The victim was not physically injured during the incident.

Suspect described as:

  • Male
  • Approximately 5’8” to 6’
  • Wearing a gold coloured mask over his face, a black hoodie with the hood up, black pants, brown boots and black gloves
  • Armed with a small knife
