The owner of a convenience store in Aurora has been charged in relation to a sexual assault involving a 14-year-old, York Regional Police said.
The teen told investigators that they were assaulted in Dayse Gifts Convenience Store on Wellington Street, just east of Yonge Street.
The owner of the store, Miguel Peralta, 70, of Vaughan, has been charged with sexual interference of someone under 16. Police have also released his photo and are urging any other victims and witnesses to come forward.
A sexual assault is any non-consensual contact of a sexual nature, police said. Anyone who feels they may have been a victim of a sexual assault is asked to come forward and report the incident to investigators. In some cases you can file a report online through YRP.
