Investigators with the York Regional Police #2 District Criminal Investigations Bureau have made two arrests in connection with a double stabbing in Richmond Hill.
On Saturday, Dec. 3, at around 2 a.m., York Regional Police responded to an injured person call outside of an establishment located on Highway 7 East and Commerce Valley Drive West.
When officers arrived, they located two adult male victims suffering from stab-wound injuries.
Officers learned that two male suspects were waiting outside the establishment when the two victims exited. The suspects ran at the victims and began a physical altercation. One suspect had a knife and stabbed both victims several times.
Two male suspects and one female suspect fled the scene in a dark-coloured vehicle prior to police arriving.
Through the investigation, officers have identified and charged two suspects, 26-year-old Rachel Ga Yoon Kim from the City of Vaughan and 22-year-old Thomas Mu He from Toronto, with attempt to commit murder and aggravated assault.
The third suspect remains outstanding.
Investigators are releasing a photo and description of the suspect and are appealing to the public for any information or his whereabouts. If seen, do not approach him, instead call 911 immediately.
The suspect is encouraged to seek legal counsel and turn himself in.
Investigators are reminding the public that anyone who is, or has, assisted the suspect may be subject to criminal charges.
Investigators are seeking anyone who may have seen Kim, He or the unidentified suspect before or after the stabbing to contact police.
