Arrest warrant issued after woman stabbed in Vaughan

An arrest warrant has been issued for a suspect wanted for attempted murder following an investigation in the City of Vaughan.

On Saturday, Sept. 3, 2022 at approximately 5:30 p.m., officers received a call for an injured person in a parking lot located in the area of Windflower Gate and Nova Star Drive in the City of Vaughan. When officers arrived, they located a 32-year-old female with life-threatening stab wounds.

The female was taken to hospital where she remains in stable condition.

An arrest warrant has been issued for the suspect, Zakria Mousa, who is considered armed and dangerous. If seen, do not approach him, instead call 911 immediately. He is encouraged to seek legal counsel and turn himself in. Investigators are reminding the public that anyone who is assisting him or has assisted him may be subject to criminal charges.

    •    Medium build
    •    Medium complexion
    •    Black hair
    •    Brown eyes
    •    Scorpion tattoo on right chest
    •    Marijuana leaf tattoo on stomach
    •    Tattoo sleeve on right arm
