A nine-year-old girl was fatally struck by a vehicle in Vaughan last night.
Investigators with the York Regional Police major collision investigation unit are seeking witnesses to the tragic incident that occurred Wednesday, Sept. 27 at 5:40 p.m. on Mullen Drive.
The child was was without vital signs and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
The driver of the vehicle, a white Ford delivery van, remained on scene, police said.
At this time, no charges have been laid, police added.
Investigators are appealing to any witnesses who have not yet spoken with police, and to anyone who may have dashcam footage or video surveillance of the area around the time of the collision, to call 1-866-876-5423, ext. 7704.
