Nov. 25 update:
A 69-year-old woman missing from the City of Markham has been sadly located deceased.

Lina Morabito was reported missing on Sunday, Nov. 21, 2021 at approximately 11 a.m. She was last seen at approximately 8 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2021 when she left her residence in the area of Carpenter Court and Raymerville Drive.

On Monday, Nov. 22, 2021, officers located her deceased in the area of Highway 7 East and McCowan Road. A post-mortem examination was conducted on Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2021 and her identity was confirmed. The cause of death has not yet been determined and the investigation is ongoing.

Investigators with the York Regional Police #5 District Criminal Investigations Bureau are seeking public assistance in locating a missing 69-year-old woman from the City of Markham.

On Sunday, Nov. 21, 2021, officers received a report regarding a missing woman. Lina Morabito was last seen on Nov. 17, 2021 at approximately 8 a.m. when she left her residence in the area of Carpenter Court and Raymerville Drive in the City of Markham. She is believed to be driving a 2010 grey Ford Escape.

Investigators and her family are concerned for her well-being and are asking anyone with information to contact police.

    •    5’7”, 150 lbs
    •    Possibly wearing glasses
