3 men, 1 teen charged with 2nd-degree murder in Markham shooting

Investigators with the York Regional Police Homicide Unit have charged four people in connection with a fatal shooting in the City of Markham.

On Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2022, at approximately 6:45 p.m., York Regional Police responded to reports of a shooting on Purple Finch Road, which is in the area of Ninth Line and Highway 407.

When officers arrived on scene, they located a 17-year-old male victim with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Through the investigation four suspects were identified and have been charged. 

CHARGED: 

  • Isaiah Goodman, 20 of no fixed address 
  • Jermain Andrews, 21, of Toronto 
  • Joshua Farmer, 21, of Brampton 
  • A 17-year-old male from Toronto

CHARGES: 

  • Second degree murder

Investigators are appealing to anyone with information to please come forward, including anyone with video surveillance or dashcam footage in the area.
