Investigators with the York Regional Police #4 District Criminal Investigations Bureau are seeking witnesses following a shooting that occurred in the City of Vaughan.
On Sunday, Oct. 31, 2021 at approximately 2:35 a.m., York Regional Police responded to a night club in the area of Steeles Avenue West and Scholes Road for a report of a shooting. Officers located a 29-year-old male victim in the parking lot with a gunshot wound. He was transported to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
The suspect fled the scene prior to police arriving.
Officers are appealing to any witnesses who may have been in the area or in the establishment at the time who have not yet spoken to police to please come forward.
Investigators are also seeking any cell phone video or photographs from inside the establishment, video surveillance from the area or anyone that may have captured dashcam video on the roadways.
