20-year-old Newmarket man killed after vehicle goes off road

A 20-year-old from Newmarket is dead after the vehicle he was driving went off the road in King on Friday. 

York Regional Police were called to area of 8th Concession Road, north of 16th Sideroad in King, for reports of a single-vehicle collision involving a white Nissan Murano on Nov. 11 at 3:35 p.m.

The vehicle had gone off the road, hitting a fence and several trees, police said.

The driver was pronounced dead on the scene. 

Police are now appealing to any witnesses who have not yet spoken with them, as well as anyone with dashcam footage of the collision to come forward.
