2 taken to hospital after serious collision in Georgina

An 87-year-old passenger was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries

Two people were sent to hospital following a serious collision in Georgina yesterday afternoon.  

About noon on Jan. 25, a red Ford Ranger pickup truck and a red Honda CRV collided in the area of Black River Road and Bayvista Lane, according to York Regional Police.

The driver of the Honda was not injured but an 87-year-old female passenger was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Ford, a 48-year-old man from Sutton, was also taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

The York Regional Police major collision investigation unit is asking for witnesses to come forward. Anyone who was in the area or has dash cam footage is asked to speak with investigators.
