2 men arrested, warrant issued for 3rd suspect in Vaughan shootings

Police are working to identify additional suspects also involved in the Oct. 18 incidents

Investigators with the York Regional Police #4 District Criminal Investigations Bureau have laid charges against two suspects, and are releasing a video as they seek a third suspect, following a shooting that occurred in the City of Vaughan.

On Monday, Oct. 18, 2021, at 3:40 a.m., York Regional Police responded to the area of Langstaff Road and Silmar Drive for a report of a shooting. Officers located a vehicle at the scene with a bullet hole through a door, along with several shell casings. A second scene was located in a nearby plaza, in the area of Langstaff Road and Valeria Boulevard. Officers located two female victims at Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital suffering from non-lifethreatening gunshot injuries.

Through the investigation, officers identified three suspects. Two of them have been charged and an arrest warrant has been issued for a third suspect. Investigators believe that there are additional suspects involved and are working to identify those individuals. They are urged to seek legal advice and turn themselves in.   • Mubarik Gool, 27, of Toronto
  • Brandon Graham, 23, of Toronto

Charges include:

  • Accessory after the fact to attempt murder
  • Discharge firearm with intent
  • Reckless discharge of a firearm
  • Careless use of a firearm
  • Point a firearm
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle
  • Possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition
  • Possession of a firearm contrary to an order x3

Wanted:

  • Jameel Melville, 23, of Toronto

Officers are appealing to any witnesses in the area at the time who have not yet spoken to police to please come forward. Investigators are also seeking any video surveillance from the area or anyone that may have captured dashcam video on the roadways.
