It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gary Ignatius Zetka. After a difficult struggle with liver cancer, Gary passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2023, with his wife Mary-Margaret by his side. He is survived by his wife, Mary-Margaret and their three children J.J. (Stéphanie), Sarah (Stefan) and Stephanie; his mother Mary (Tim) and his sister Joni (Larry).
He will be dearly missed by his eight brothers-in-law and nine sisters-in-law, 31 nieces and nephews and 5 great nieces and nephews.
Gary loved the water, the sun, the Blue Jays and his Tesla. Gary and Mary-Margaret were so looking forward to enjoying all of these passions during their retirement in the coming years.
Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Visitation will be held at Taylor Funeral Home, 524 Davis Drive Newmarket on Thursday, August 31, 2023 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Funeral Service will be held at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, 17955 Leslie Street Newmarket on Friday, September 1, 2023 at 2:00 p.m.
