Dora Esther "Rose" Worthington. Birth February 15 1956, death September 15 2023. A Rose by any other name, which she was given two others, would have definitely smelled as sweet.

Rose touched the hearts, minds and souls of every person that was a part of her life, whether for a brief moment in time, a mere blip in the grand scheme of existence that she shared with countless individuals or loved ones. Or the ones that would have been considered a driving force for her accomplishments, the motivation that she exhibited to those that would have been around to witness Rose and how she cared for those most dear to her heart, those who were in fact family by blood, relation and even for those who were considered by her to be family by choice. It didn't matter how they became part of her family, she would love each and every as if she gave birth to them all.

For those close enough to be privileged to be a part of the shining and glowing example Rose demonstrated of a person you would be proud to be like. And she refined this to a new degree, a higher plateau with each new addition to her ever-evolving circle of those held dear to her heart.

Survived by memories held within those she left behind such as her husband William "Bill" Worthington, children... Kathleen "Kit" Worthington, Elaine "Elle" Smith and Derrick "The one who never left" Smith. Grandchildren... the eldest and one who could steal the hearts of all aforementioned, Lana Smith Worthington (Eric Rancourt) and the one who captured the love of all those who came together to form the caring family mentioned above, and also completed the circle to make this family one that loved beyond measure, Maya Smith.

Siblings such as Danny Lawrence (Tamara) and Johnna Switzer (Clarence), Michael, Sherry who always played an active role in Rose's family’s lives.

Significant relatives and family friends to mention who were there when it counted such as...Leeann Fairborn, Ronnie Levesque, and their two wonderful children. Brian and Silvie Wilson and their children, who were always there and never asked for anything in return.

Rose will be missed by a tremendous amount of people. She came from a less than fortunate upbringing, and made a beautiful life and family she could be proud of. She embodied the perseverance to build a strong foundation, through hard work and effort that her family could stand on for years to come. I know that this family will never find another that had given the love she gave, or put others needs before her own with a smile on her face, the way only she could.

Today we say goodbye to a mother, wife, sister, aunt, daughter, friend, and overall kind and loving human that would wish nothing for us now than love, kindness, and peace for all our days to come.

We miss you already, we love you.
