It is with deep sorrow that the family of Debra (Deb) Withers announces her sudden passing.
She left this world suddenly on April 13 at the age of 63. Deb was born in England and moved to Canada with her family in 1971, where she would attend high school and work as a waitress and accountant. She leaves to mourn her husband George, her only child Liam (Cortney), sister Sue (Jeff), step-father Vero, step-mother Velma, along with countless friends. Her loss was completely unexpected and the family is shocked and deeply saddened. Deb’s family will miss her more than words can say.
Deb was a kind hearted and compassionate individual who was passionate about environmentally conscious crafting and was skilled at making natural goods and repurposed items. Among the creations she made were natural soaps, repurposed vinyl clocks, and repurposed jewellery. She frequently held sales through the ventures of Deb’s Natural Blends and WIKS General Store, often in partnership with her sister Sue. Above all, Deb dedicated her life to being a wonderful, supportive and loving mother to her only son Liam. Deb was unconditionally supportive of all of the friends and family in her life and she will be missed by all.
The funeral service for Deb will take place at Roadhouse and Rose Funeral Home in Newmarket on Saturday April 23 at 3:00pm. There will be a visitation from 1:00 - 3:00pm where friends of Debra are invited to celebrate her life and pay their respects. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in honour of Deb. The family would like to thank the CICU staff at Southlake Regional Health Centre for their compassionate care and support.
The service will be live streamed for all those who are not able to attend in person.
