It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, Aunt, Grammie and cherished friend Karen Whitehead. Surrounded by her family at Southlake Regional Hospital she peacefully gained her wings on June 29th. after a short battle with Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer.
Born June 8, 1956, in London, Ontario to Donald (Duke) & June Woods. Karen leaves behind her mother June Woods, husband Tom, brother Scott (Barb) Woods and brother in law Ted (Joan) Whitehead. Loving mother to daughter Lindsey (Josh) Kearley and son Matthew (Bethany) Whitehead. Loving Grammie to Irelyn, Benjamin & Anniston Kearley and Layla & Hudson Whitehead. Beloved Auntie to Ryan (Kay) Woods, Kailey Woods & Jon Sweitzer, Great Auntie to Hunter & Breelle Woods and Cooper & Auston Sweitzer.
Karen will be fondly remembered for putting her family and friends first, making the holidays magical, being the life of any party and for being the loudest cheerleader at any and every sporting event!
