April 22nd, 1948 - March 15th, 2022

Passed away peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket, on Tuesday March 15, 2022, at 73 years of age. Loving husband of Margaret Warbeck (nee Brady) for 50 years. Beloved father of Melanie Cherkes (Edwin) and Jeremy Warbeck (Krissey). Proud Geedo of his grandchildren Kaitlynn, Andreas, Helena, Maren, and Kathryn. Brother of Lawrie Godin. Dear son of the late Leonard and Olga Warbeck.

Lawrence was employed for 34 years at Kodak Canada where he excelled as a Certified Engineering Technician and Technologist. His many interests include being a lifetime member of the NVA Newmarket, Membership Chairman of KMAC, Chats Driver, photography, and computers. He was an avid flyer of remote control planes. As a car enthusiast, he enjoyed restoring his 1977 Corvette, with which he has been awarded many trophies in numerous car shows. Lawrence was a "fixer of all things". His talents extended from wood working, computers, electrical, and everything in between. There was nothing he could not repair. His passion for making dill pickles and blueberry jam, made him infamous with friends and family, while his Cuban Rum cake was unsurpassed. Lawrence offered his assistance to anyone in need, utilizing his "Mr.Fix-it" skills. When not working in his workshop, he was often observed in a quiet moment reading about planes or working out a sudoku puzzle.

The family would like to thank the many caring doctors and nurses at the Stronach Cancer Centre. A celebration of life will be held for family and friends in the spring of 2022.

A funeral mass will be held at St.Elizabeth Seton Church at 17955 Leslie St. in Newmarket, on Saturday March 19, 2022 at 12:00 pm.

If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
