Passed away peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at 77 years of age.
He will be dearly missed by his family, including many extended family members on the Walsh and Stewart sides. A cherished friend to so many, lovingly referred to as “Uncle Patti” by those who knew him. He always had a warm, welcoming smile and a kind word to share with friends and strangers alike. He had a generous heart, always wanting to give to others and help those in need however he could. Patti enjoyed the many programs available at Community Living, especially the day programs for art and music. Patti loved to play his guitar and sing, encouraging others to find the same joy in music that he did. Patrick will be dearly missed by his roommates at Yonge and Marsden homes he leaves a special place in everyone's heart. Patrick enjoyed Tim Hortons coffee, spending time at the cottage with his roommates and friends, attending his church and taking part in CLCY dances and community events.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Ontario SPCA, Patti loved animals, especially dogs. Donations may also be made to Community Living, Central York Support and Day Program, thank you for the care you provided over the last 28 years of Patti’s life.
A Celebration of Patti’s life will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Community Living, Central York (575 Penrose Street, Newmarket, Ontario). In honour of Patti and his love of the Christmas season, friends and family are encouraged to wear their favourite Christmas sweater.
