Evelyn Wagenhoffer passed away peacefully at the age of 83 with her family by her side at North York General Hospital. Evelyn was predeceased by both her parents, the love of her life Konrad Wagenhoffer, her Grandson Shawn Sharp and her brother Achim Geisler. She is survived by her daughter Brenda, son Conrad (Colleen) and daughter Annie (Kevin). As well as her seven grandchildren CJ , Brendan (Lauren), Scotty (Alisha), Alexandria, Nicole, Jeydon (Aiden) and Brady and her four great grandchildren Emalyn, Isabel, Erik and Kiyin, her sister Uschi and her many nieces and nephews in Germany.

Evelyn was born in Berlin, Germany where she lived with her Mom, Dad brother and sister. She had many memories of her grandmother and working in the garden. She emigrated to Canada with her Mom and stepdad when she was 16. She worked hard to learn English and fit in but many times wanted to go back home. She didn’t give up and later met her husband Konrad where she built a life with him and their children. Evelyn and Konrad had a love like no other, they were true soul mates and proved love, guidance and humour. They loved to dance at the Hungarian House, meeting their children’s friends and made everyone feel like family.

Evelyn loved baseball, she loved watching her kids play keeping score and taking them to ball tournaments all over Ontario. When her kids moved out, she was an avid Blue Jays fan. She wrote down who hit home runs, who pitched and who won. She cheered the Jays on until she passed away.
