Eugene James Van Den Elzen beloved husband of Maria Van Den Elzen passed away suddenly April 11, 2024 after suffering a fatal heart attack.
Gene is survived by his parents Reece and Patricia, sister Sarah, nieces Samantha (Rudy) and Josaphine and 2 great nieces Caroline and Maxine.
Gene was loved by all that met him. He had a warm smile and a gentle demeanor about him. He loved music and spending time outside with his beloved dog Grayson. Gene was an amazing craftsman. He worked many years in specialized custom cabinetry. He was known for his perfectionist skillset. His love of music introduced him to many of his lifelong friends. He played in many bands and loved a great jam session.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main St. S., Newmarket on Thursday April 18th between 1 pm and 4 pm. Family tributes will commence at 2 p.m.
