10-Oct-1939 - 30-Dec-2022

It is with shattered hearts and never-ending tears and sorrow that the family of Ottavia Turchi share her passing on Friday, December 30th, 2022 at the age of the young of 83.

After a long hard and courageous battle with cancer, she slipped away peacefully and with dignity and surrounded by love at the Margaret Bahen Hospice, Newmarket. She will be remembered lovingly and forever by her husband Vincenzo, daughter Dora (Frank) and son Flavio (Helen). Ottavia will forever loved and cherished by her 3 grandchildren Tara, Emily and Erik. She will be missed by her grand furbabies Buster and Mika for all the treats she would sneak them. She will also be lovingly remembered by her brother Frank (Adriana) and sister Lina.

She is finally reunited with her heavenly family; her mother (Carmosina) and father (Tomasso), her siblings Marco, Celeste, Michele and Angelo. Ottavia was treasured for her feisty spirit, strong mind, strength and courage, her patience, her bright smile, her sparkling piercing blue eyes, her funny sense of humour, her infectious laughter and most of all her heart of gold and her deep sense of family.

Her children and grandchildren were everything to her. She was an avid gardener and won her town award for best garden. She loved to cook and everyone who sat at her table and ate her delicious meals could not stop raving about it. She said her food tasted so good because “I make it with love!” Her outgoing personality made it easy for her to make friends any and everywhere she went, and those friends were for life. She will be profoundly missed. Rest in peace beautiful angel.
