TRAN, Carolyn Doris

Passed away peacefully at Bloomington Cove in Stouffville on Tuesday June 7th, 2022 at the age of 81. Beloved mother of John (Vita) and Janet (Warren). Proud grandmother Jordan, Joshua, Ryan, Nathan and Rachel. Great grandmother of Carter and Cason. She was the eldest of seven siblings and predeceased by her parents Freda Twyman and Joseph Tran.

Carolyn resided in BC for several years where she became interested in sailing. Eventually becoming the Commodore of the Vancouver Rowing Club. She became proficient at planning sailing events and fundraisers. She moved back in Ontario for the remainder of her life, she was a member of the Newmarket Veterans Club. She continued fundraising with a focus on Diabetes Canada.

The family would like to thank the staff at Bloomington Cove for their care and compassion, and making it feel like home for our mom. Visitation will be held at Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main Street South, Newmarket on Friday June 17, 2022 from 12-1 p.m.

A memorial service will follow in the chapel at 1 p.m.
