February 23rd, 1959 - September 27th, 2023

Lise St. Pierre, a beacon of love and warmth, passed away on Wednesday September 27th, 2023 at the Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket Ontario, marking the end of her remarkable journey through life at the age of 64.

Born on February 23, 1959, in the picturesque town of Marathon, Ontario, Lise was the cherished daughter of Jacqueline and Georges St. Pierre (deceased). Though she never had children of her own, her life was dedicated to the nurturing of countless young lives in the field of childcare. For Lise, this wasn't just a career; it was her true calling. She lovingly referred to the daycare kids as her own, and due to her many years in the field, she found herself guiding a second generation of children. Every child in her care received equal measures of boundless love and unwavering care.

Lise's vivacious spirit radiated in every facet of her life. She devoted hours to her garden, transforming it into the envy of the neighborhood. Her love for tending to her blossoms brought a vibrant kaleidoscope of colors to the street. Her knack for decorating was unparalleled, and she meticulously adorned her home to celebrate every season and holiday. With a heart overflowing with warmth, generosity, and love, she embodied the essence of a child at heart, finding delight in activities like assembling intricate jigsaw puzzles.

Courageous and resolute, Lise battled cancer with unwavering determination for seven months. Her indomitable spirit shone until the very end.

Lise's memory will forever be cherished by her siblings, Jeanne (the late Leo), Solange (the late Danny), Marcelle (the late Larry), and Maurice (Janice), as well as her numerous nieces and nephews. She held dear her lifelong friends, Ruth, who was like a mother to her, and Carole-Anne, her best friend since their toddler days. Lise was preceded in death by her beloved brothers, Don and Henry.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the Southlake Regional Health Centre nursing staff, with a special mention for the dedicated care provided by Dr. Mulhern throughout Lise's journey. In lieu of flowers, those who wish to honor Lise's memory may consider making donations to the Ronald McDonald House (RMHC Canada, 1 McDonald’s Place, Toronto, ON M3C 3L4), a cause that held a special place in her heart. When families learn their child is sick and requires hospitalization, they are forced to leave their homes, families, jobs and community support at a time when they need them the most. That’s where Ronald McDonald House Charities steps in, providing a place for families to stay together, steps away from a children’s hospital.

In her passing, Lise leaves behind a legacy of love, nurturing, and boundless joy, forever etched in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be dearly missed, but her spirit will continue to bloom in the lives she touched.

Friends and family are invited to attend a celebration of Lise’s life October 21, 2023 from 1:00 pm – 4:00pm at Keswick Christian Church. 2 Old Homestead Road, Keswick Ontario. All children welcomed as Lise would have loved. Lise will be laid to rest with her Mom and Dad in Manitouwadge, Ont in the spring.
