Passed away peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket on Friday, March 15th, 2024, in her 91st year.
Loving partner of Edmund Praught (deceased) for 34 years. Beloved mother of John (Linda), Bruce (deceased) and Brian (Marie). Proud grandmother of James, Amanda, Kelly, Jennifer, Devin & Brianne. Stepmom to Sandra, Mark (Carrie) Carl (Isabel) Donna (Jody) Barb, Brad (Jo). Sister of Art (deceased)(Mary), Ron (Francis)(deceased) & Bill (Margaret) Sturge (deceased). Dear daughter of the late David Sturge (deceased) & Irene Sturge (née Hann)(deceased). Clemmie will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews back in Newfoundland.
Clemmie was born in Wesleyville, Newfoundland and moved to Toronto when she was in her early 20's, where she started working at Bell Canada. She met her future husband Don Singer (deceased) and raised 3 sons after moving to Newmarket. Clemmie was an outgoing and loving person who was liked by everyone. She really cared about her friends and family. If Clemmie called you friend, then you were friends for life.
As per Mom’s wishes, no memorial service will be conducted. Cremation has taken place.
