Passed away peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket on Saturday March 23rd, 2024 in her 84th year.
Beloved wife of Andy Shannon for 62 years. Loving mother of Andrew , Caroline (Michael) Russell , Patricia (James Fort). Cherished grandmother of Danielle, Shannon, Natasha, Alicia. Great grandmother of Landon, Addison, Hayden, Charlotte, Josephine, and Rohan. Survived by sisters Patricia, Margaret and Henrietta and predeceased by her sister Evelyn. Daughter of the late Richard Connolly and Elizabeth Connolly.
Carmel was born on December 31st, 1940 in Downpatrick Northern Ireland. Carmel worked many different jobs as a telephone receptionist which allowed her to demonstrate her warm and welcoming personality. Carmel enjoyed knitting and gardening in her spare time.
The family would like to thank all of the caring staff of the RNU at the Southlake Regional Health Centre. A Celebration of Life will take place at a future date.
