Born on November 23rd, 1944 in Saint-Hyacinthe.
Passed away after a lengthy illness at Chartwell Barton Retirement Residence in Newmarket, on Saturday October 7th, 2023, in his 78th year.
Proceeded by his partner, Margaret Hodgson
Beloved father of Craig (Susanne) and Ramona (Tim)
Cherished Grandfather of Brent (Meghan), Kayla (Caleb), and Lauren
Survived by his many Cousins, Nieces, and Nephews.
Proceeded by his father, Douglas, mother Cristian, and sister, Jane.
Preston retired after a long service as a fire fighter in the Borough of York. He helped his father often between shifts driving taxi and working in Cornwall on the outdoor billboard advertising business. He was also an artist with a paint brush and roller in retirement. Preston made his permanent home in Schomberg and participated with many charitable groups. Preston has many passions, but none greater than hockey and golf. You would frequently see him in your neighbourhood arena or golf course. He loved following his son’s hockey career and doting on his grandchildren. He was loved and appreciated by his family, many friends and his Community.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday October 21st, 2023 from 1pm – 4pm at the Trisan Centre, 25 Dillane Dr., Schomberg.
