(1946 – 2022) Passed away peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket, on Wednesday March 2nd, 2022, in his 75th year. Loving husband of Voirrey (nee Collister) for 47 years. Beloved father of Nyree (the late Ben Embiricos) and Kieron (Eric Hehn) and uncle to Michael, Craig, Erin and Jasmine. Proud grandfather of Jasper, Alfred (Fred), Reginald (Reg) and Zinnia. Brother of Sharon (the late Hank Steyn). Dear son of the late Gerald “Chip” and Margery Rupke.
Gary was a successful farmer on the Holland Marsh, expanding the family farm, Chip’s Gardens, to and through its third and most successful generation. Gary was also an avid skier and traveler having travelled extensively through Europe, the South Pacific, Australia and New Zealand and living briefing in London, England.

Gary’s family held a private funeral at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, Newmarket, on Sunday March 7th and will be hosting a celebration of life at the Holland Marsh Wineries on Saturday May 7th from 2 - 4p. All friends and family welcome.
