It is with regret and sadness that we convey the passing of Joanne Irene Royce on April 24,2024 at the age of 72. She passed after a long battle with dementia.
Joanne is survived by her husband Richard, her son Adam, her daughter Andrea, siblings Julie, Doug and Gail, her sister-in Law Maureen and many nieces and nephews.
We extend special thanks to the Doctors, Nurses and PSW’s at Bradford Valley both in the Orchard and Heritage communities. The love and care given her was priceless both for her and our entire family.
Joanne graduated from Ryerson University (currently Toronto Metropolitan University) and worked as a Legal Secretary in Toronto and with the Toronto Metropolitan Police.
Joanne’s second career was dedicated to learning and teaching Hatha Yoga where she spent over thirty years inspiring many to the understanding of personal strength.
She will be remembered as a loving, kind and funny lady who left her mark on everyone she met.
