Charlotte Robinson
Passed away peacefully with her family at her side at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket, on Monday, October 15, 2018, at 90 years of age. Loving wife of husband Donald (predeceased 1970). Beloved mother of Daniel (Judy), Richard, Catherine Barrett (Peter), Sharon Irwin, Margaret Boulton (Michael), Frances Franklin (Kevin). Very proud grandmother of Andrew, Luke, Roy, Bradley, Donald, Samantha, Annie, Stephanie, Rebecca, Jacob, Brianne, and Jessie. Proud great-grandmother of Kyarra, Lorelai, Keegan, Chase, and Ivy. Sister of Constance Grace, Jocelyn Ellichuk, and pre-deceased by Monique Quevillon.

Charlotte was a quiet and studious child who grew into a quiet, studious young lady who enjoyed reading, biking, and racing war canoes. She married a former Toronto Argonaut football player and judging by the number of children they had, they were going for their own team. Her love for her children and her passion for sports never waned. She routinely tried to make the Montreal Canadiens win with her cheerleading. Her devotion to her children was tested each winter but she stood strong against their rabid support for the Toronto Maple Leafs. This led to some interesting Saturday nights, particularly when the teams were matched up against each other. Watching the Blue Jays was her other love and she probably knew more stats than most. Although she was quiet, when it came to sports she was very vocal.

She enjoyed bowling, bridge, Scrabble and board games and was always ready to play any of them. That is, if you could pry her away the latest bestseller, newspaper, or cereal box. She did love to read and passed that on to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren! She was a highly intelligent, always curious woman who truly never had a bad word to say about anyone. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.

The family would like to thank Dr. Gannage, and nurse Lauren at Southlake Regional Health Centre and all staff at Southlake Residential Care Village. Friends may call at Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main St. S., Newmarket, on Friday, October 19, visitation from 2-3 p.m. Funeral service in chapel at 3 p.m with reception to follow. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. On-line condolences at www.roadhouseandrose.com.
