Peacefully left this world on October 26, 2022 at age 96 with her husband, daughter and son-in-law holding her. Her last days were filled with love from family visits.
26 years ago after major surgery, the doctors told us she wouldn’t live long, then dementia came into her life at age 86, then she had 2 strokes at age 94. What fighter and incredibly strong women she was. She defied all the odds and just kept on going! She touched many people with her “special ways”. She is not easily forgotten and will be missed.
She leaves behind her loving husband of 73 years, Edgar Rapp, and her children and their spouses, Harald (Suzanne), Ronald, Ingrid (Rick) and her baby sister Renate (Eric). She was Tante Frieda to many nieces & nephews. She now joins her siblings Adeline, Edwin and Gerhard, who predeceased her.
She was Oma to 8 grandchildren and their partners, Shaun(Sean), Kerri (Liam), Mathew (Jenna), Cristien, Nicholas (Martha), Devin (Jhonna), Reid (Madie) and Cole (Ashley) and 5 great grandchildren, Ava, Gracyn, Jake, Gabriel & Nolan.
We wish to recognize and thank Southlake Residential Care Village and especially Unit 4E for the loving care they provided for Frieda for the last 6 ½ years. They truly became a part of her family.
Her light has dimmed but she will shine on!
Visitation will be held at Taylor Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. Interment at Newmarket Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Alzheimer's Society of York Region or the Southlake Residential Care Village-Southlake Foundation.
