November 21st, 1950 - April 12th, 2024
It is with great sadness that the family of Norman “Norm” James Pichurski, born on November 21, 1950 in Manitoba, announce his passing on April 12, 2024 at the age of 73 after a long battle with cancer.
The second of five children, Norm came to Ontario with his family in 1954, where they built a life in Willowdale.
Norm enjoyed his hobbies of hunting, fishing, working on his cars and doting on any cat he met.
He will be lovingly remembered by his siblings, Edward “Ted” (husband of Wendy), Carolyn “Carol” (wife of Gabriel), Richard “Rick” and Stephen “Steve” (husband of Leigh), along with his beloved nieces and nephews Thea, Sol, Jason, Taylor, Samantha, Kailyn, and Joseph.
Norm is predeceased by his parents, Edward “Ed” and Gladys, sister-in-laws Kerrie and Joan and niece Tara.
A visitation for Norm will be held on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Roadhouse and Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main Street South, Newmarket Ontario.
Norm’s family would like to give a special thanks to all his caregivers and nurses, especially Fatma, who Norm was greatly fond of and who brought comfort to both Norm and his family in his last months.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Norm’s name, can be made to Ducks Unlimited Canada - a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving Canada’s wetlands.
