April 10th, 1938 - July 25th, 2023

James passed away on July 25, 2023 at Southlake Hospital at the age of 85 years old from complications due to pneumonia.

He was born on April 10, 1938 and was predeceased by his parents, Irene and Titus Peregrine and his brother Thomas.

Jim was a loving uncle to Karen, Gord and Janet. He was a constant presence in their lives and was loved greatly by them and his great nieces and nephews. He was well cared for by his sister in law Marilyn and Marilyn’s sister Lois; who both spent many an hour having tea and talking about the “good old days” in Queensville.

Jim loved current events, reading the Toronto Star and was a loyal fan of the Toronto Blue Jays and Toronto Maple Laughs (as he called them).

The family would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff at McKenzie Place for their kind and gentle care of James.

Although Jim will be missed, we know he is with the Lord and take comfort in that.

Please join us in celebrating James' life on Tuesday August 1, 2023. All are welcomed to drop-in between of the hours of 12-2 p.m. at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main Street South, Newmarket. James will be laid to rest at Queensville Cemetery, 20778 Leslie Street, Queensville. A graveside service will begin at 3 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society.
