In Loving memory of David Pashko (1969-2023)
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Pashko, often affectionately called "Pash" by his dear friends. Dave departed peacefully, surrounded by his family, at Southlake Regional Hospital on the afternoon of Friday, September 8, 2023. His valiant battle against cancer over the past two years was a testament to his strength and fortitude, but ultimately, the toll it took on his body was relentless, and it eventually claimed him.

Dave's memory will forever be etched in the hearts of his beloved family, including His devoted mother, Lynn, alongside cherished memories of his late father, Peter; His beloved son, Max, a testament to his enduring friendship with Andrea; His loving brother, Rob, and sister-in-law, Vanessa; His life partner, Jodi; His stepfather, Steve, stepbrother, Jason, and sister-in-law, Laura; His uncle, Mo, forever cherished in the memory of his late aunt, Joan; His adored nephews, Cooper, Lincoln, Daniel, Caelan, and Chris, and; His dear cousins, Cheryl, Janet, Rob, and Ian.

A distinguished and esteemed local professional golfer, Dave was respected and admired by a multitude of friends both within and outside the golfing community. He left an indelible mark on all those fortunate enough to know him. Dave was proud to be an accredited senior member of the PGA of Canada, in addition to having an impressive ten-year active playing career on the Canadian Tour. His golfing pursuits took him to picturesque locales across Canada, the USA and even Chile, cultivating enduring friendships that spanned North America while on his way to a golf scholarship, course records and many wins, and an unbelievable thirteen hole-in-one’s. Remarkably, Dave's membership at his second home, Meadowbrook Golf & Country Club in Gormley, began at the age of 12 and spanned an incredible 42 years,
where accolades included Junior, Men's Club and Pro/Am Championship titles - and a course record. At the news of his passing, Meadowbrook has announced that they intend to re-name their Annual Pro/Am tournament in his honour.
Dave's approached life with the same unwavering dedication and passion he applied to his golf game. His enduring commitment to Metroland Printing, Publishing & Distributing for over thirty years attests to his unmatched reliability, work ethic and loyalty.

Fondly remembered for his loving friendships and peaceful demeanor, his distinctive, sometimes eccentric sense of humor and booming laugh, his tranquil and enduring kindness, his zest for life, love of gangster movies and all things “Vegas”, his camaraderie with his pool team at Bigwigs, his hockey cards and, above all, his unwavering love and support for his cherished son, Max.

During this difficult time, many people that loved Dave have expressed they would like to show support in any way they can. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to help family cover immediate costs, for his celebration event, and to aid a RESP for his son's education, as we cope with the loss of our beloved Dave. We are encouraging people to share their stories and Photos of Dave, as they are something his son has treasured reading. Please continue to post on Dave’s Facebook Page, on his Obituary Page, and his Gofundme page so that we can compile these amazing tales of Dave’s friendships and life.

Rest in peace, Dave. You will forever occupy a place in our hearts, and your memory will continue to evoke smiles and warmth among those privileged to have met you or hear stories about you. You are loved eternally.

A special thank you to the Doctors, Nursing staff and volunteers at Southlake Hospital, and the Odette Centre at Sunnybrook Hospital for all their care.
