Passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday April 15, 2023 at 88 years of age.
Loving wife to her predeceased husband Dennis (2019). Beloved mother to her late son Ric (2014), daughter Jennifer (Richard Buskermolen), and son Sean. Proud Grandma to twins Shannon and Connor. Caring sister to Ann (Maurice St. Amant), David (Laura), Michael, and Donny (Michelle) Holden, and sister in law Rose. Predeceased by her brothers Jimmy (Alma), Jack, and Brian. She will be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Catherine was born October 28, 1934 to William and Bernadette (Boldt) Holden in Toronto, Ontario. She spent many years as a bookkeeper and at various roles in the grocery industry. She enjoyed reading, watching movies, and spending time with her family. She indulged in life's simple pleasures, like satisfying her sweet tooth, and had a passion for supporting her beloved Toronto Blue Jays.
Family and friends are invited to join together at Roadhouse and Rose Funeral Home at 157 Main St. S, Newmarket on Thursday June 1, 2023. Visitation will be one hour from 0930 to 1030 am. Funeral services in the chapel will take place at 1030, followed by interment of her ashes at Saint John Cemetery, Newmarket. Refreshments and coffee will be offered back at the funeral home after the interment of ashes.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to Heart and Stroke Canada.
