Murrell, Theodore Barrie Evan (Former proprietor of North York Drive In Theatre)
With much sorrow, we share the very sad news of the passing of Ted Murrell, who passed away peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre, on Thursday, March 24, 2022, at the age of 79. He lived a full and vibrant life and met all of the challenges in his life with a smile and a good sense of humour. He is predeceased by his father Clifford Evan Murrell, his loving mother Irene Elizabeth Murrell (nee Kenny) and his sister Dorothy Faye Babcock.
Ted will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 43 years Merle Murrell (nee Hambly). Loving father of Natalie Murrell and her husband Misha Boyko-Vekin and Ted Murrell and his wife Laurie Woods. Theodore was blessed with 5 grandsons (enough for a hockey team): Payton, Grayson and Nolan Boyko-Vekin and Evan and Logan Woods Murrell. He also leaves his brother John Clifford Murrell, his best friend and business partner.
Visitation will take place at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main St. S., Newmarket, on Monday, March 28, 2022, from 7-9 p.m. and on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 from 10-11 a.m. Funeral service in the chapel at 11 a.m., followed by interment at Newmarket Cemetery.
