Bradley Dale Matson, age 65 is at peace now after enduring a long hard battle against cancer. Despite the pain, Bradley showed over and over again just how courageous he was. In the end he came out as a hero, staying strong always telling and showing how much he truly loved us.

Bradley was an incredibly hard and dedicated worker, fulfilling 28 years of service for The City of Toronto.

One of his favorite hobbies was landscaping, gardening. He enjoyed many hours tending to and caring for nature a long side with his wife.

Truly a die-hard Toronto Maple Leafs fan, everything was blue and white memorabilia. As a child he was allowed to stay up to watch the Leafs win the cup in 1967, from that day on he was hooked. Bradley loved to watch sport and excelled at soccer in his youth. When it was time to give out the awards for soccer the coach had him stay up on the stage, so he didn’t have to go up and down as he was to receive many awards!

He will be forever remembered by his beloved wife Debra Matson and their three children Linda-lea, Christopher and Cailin. Grandpa to six beautiful grandchildren Jace, Channing, Carter, Landen, Aaliyah and Zya-lea, Survived by his parents Grant, Jodie and Jean, sisters Cherry and Leslie; and brothers Ricky and Randy.

The family are truly grateful for the outstanding care Bradley received at the Stronach Cancer Center and to the staff on the 6th floor in the cancer ward at Southlake Regional Hospital for coordinating with the Community Care to make it possible for Bradley to come home to spend his last days with the his family and pass peacefully in his home.

Cremation and a private family interment are planned at Bradley’s request.
